Copyright and content concerns · last updated 13 October 2026
Respect creators. Keep the record clear.
Wild This Way combines company-created work, licensed material and contributions from people who record wildlife. This page explains where to find attribution and how to raise a rights concern. It does not replace the Terms or a licence shown with particular material.
Wild This Way material
Wild This Way (Pty) Ltd owns or is authorised to use the Wild This Way name, original interface, original written content and company-created brand assets, except where another source or rights holder is identified. Access to the website or Web App does not transfer ownership of that material.
Third-party and contributor material
Maps, place data, wildlife photographs, species references, open-source software and provider assets can have separate licences and attribution requirements. Published wildlife-image credits are listed on the photo credits page, and map attribution appears with the map. People who submit their own photographs, audio and text retain the rights described in the Terms.
Report a concern
Email info@wildthisway.com with the page or record reference, the work or right involved, why you believe the use should be reviewed, your contact details and evidence that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. Do not repeat a sensitive wildlife coordinate in ordinary email when a record reference is enough.
Wild This Way may temporarily restrict material while it checks the source, licence, permission and safety context. A review outcome depends on the evidence and applicable law; this page does not claim a statutory notice-and-takedown safe harbour.
Corrections help
If the concern is an incorrect credit, broken source link, privacy issue or unsafe wildlife disclosure rather than copyright, use the same contact route and explain the correction needed. Please include only the minimum personal or location information required to investigate.
Send a clear reference.
Include the exact page URL or Wild This Way record reference so the team can locate the material without unnecessary disclosure.
